Happy Halloween article! Catholic Daughters tomorrow. :)

Hello everyone!

Life is very busy as always. I will be in the Titanic musical in Jamestown next weekend. It's been a busy few weeks getting everything together. I'm actually writing this article while I wait for my next scene to rehearse. Life is a busy, busy ride. I love it though.

Tomorrow morning I will be sining at the Catholic Daughters event in Perham. I'm looking forward to it. Hope to see you there!

Happy Halloween!
Can you believe it’s already time to start celebrating Halloween again? I can hardly believe it is now the end of October. We have been incredibly blessed with beautiful fall weather. I’m hoping Monday night has some great trick or treating weather in store for all the trick or treaters.
I want to focus this week on having a safe night of trick or treating.  I have great memories as a child going from door to door asking for candy and treats, and trying to stay warm. I even remember the year I dressed up as Miss America. My dress didn’t last very long, and my crown was hidden under my earmuffs a bit after we started. My parents instilled safety each year we went trick or treating and I wanted to share some of my favorite tips.
Safety tip number 1, be sure to encourage your children to watch for cars as they cross the street. Caution them to also watch their step as they run frantically from door to door. Secondly, have your kids wear their hats and mittens if need be! Your child’s costume won’t be ruined, I promise. Thirdly, talk to your kids about interactions with strangers. Warn them of possible dangers, and discuss how to handle situations that seem unsafe. And once you get home from your evening of fun, be sure to look over all the candy they collected. Throw away candy that doesn’t have a tight seal or doesn’t look safe for consumption. Most importantly, have fun and make incredible memories as a family. Many blessings and a Happy Halloween to you!
